Trenton is a city located in Gibson County, Tennessee, and according to the 2010 census the population was 4,264. Trenton is the county seat and is named after Trenton, New Jersey. It is home to Peabody High School, which has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places for the State of Tennessee. Trenton is also known for having an unusual speed limit of 31 miles per hour, and signs are posted throughout the city. Trenton is home to a humid subtropical climate zone known for cool winters and hot summer months with average high temperatures in the low 90s during July and August.
